Deluge Torrent on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn
Deluge Torrent is a great Bit Torrent client for the Gnome environment. This article help you to install it on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn.
Installation
First, you need to download the Deluge Torrent package:
wget http://download.deluge-torrent.org/ubuntu/feisty/0.5.5/deluge-torrent_0.5.5-1_i386.deb --output-document=/tmp/deluge-torrent.deb
Then, install its dependencies :
sudo apt-get install libboost-date-time1.33.1 libboost-filesystem1.33.1 \
libboost-program-options1.33.1 libboost-regex1.33.1 libboost-thread1.33.1 \
libc6 libgcc1 libstdc++6 zlib1g python-support python python-gtk2 python-glade2 \
python-xdg python-notify notification-daemon
You can now install the package :
sudo dpkg -i /tmp/deluge-torrent.deb
You will find a shortcut to Deluge Torrent in the menu Software -> Internet
